Nice case for the type of use it apparently was intended for. It’s actually made to fit over a backpack strap. The picture shows what looks like a case holding the iPhone or iPod with a carabiner attached to it. This is not the way it actually works. The carabiner is attached to the wallet to which the iPhone case (using heavy-duty Velcro) can be attached. I wanted a case that could be carried on a lanyard (therefore a case with a carabiner would have worked well).
It comes with two cases – one that fits the iPhone/iTouch and one that fits an iPod, as well as a small case in which your earphones can be carried – all attached by Velcro inside a large wallet. The wallet itself is way too large to be carried on a lanyard around your neck, so I have run my lanyard through the back of the iPhone case in order to carry it. I have no idea why it has a carabiner, since the actual iPhone/iPod cases cannot be used separately with a carabiner without first being attached to the whole wallet case.
Too bad the photos aren’t clearer. I would have chosen something else. However, there really isn’t a much out there that suits my particular need.

This item was delivered on time and can be very useful when using only for casual use. It is not something that should be used when dressing up, but is handy to have all of your iPod stuff in one place.

My iPhone was just a bit too wide for the case. Very hard to get the phone back out. Good idea but overkill on the various pouches and pockets. Really I just wanted a simple carrying case with a clip so I can either clip it to me or my big beach bag in the summer and not have it slip out of my pocket or have to rummage through a big bag. This is not the product.

I purchased this from my local “Mac Boutique” at list price, but still feel this was worth the money. The clear case that holds the device is very form fitting and could conceivably attached (independent of the wallet) to *any* loop side of a velcro closure…which also means you could attach a pocket to the back of it if it had the scratchy surface facing outward. I actually have a pocket that does this (from a “vault” box for gadgets that had a hook and loop lined (velcro) interior. Some of the detachable pockets had the scratchy velcro on the back.) I can put my digital camera or cell phone inside and have a separate “all in one” holder as a result if I wish to use this without the wallet itself.
The little case at the bottom holds my earbuds, but in no way is large enough to contain the portal cord. The additional zippered pocket is very tight (no gusset) so could not hold much more than a few cards or bills, maybe some loose keys…
Everything is detachable from the loop middle velcro. This can be folded inward or outward and attached to a strap. The D ring gives it extra versatility for attachment options. I like that the formfitting case is the loop side of velcro and very soft, almost like neoprene. When not being utilized for its attachment purposes, you wouldn’t think of it as being velcro at all!)
Some thoughts for improvement: it would be great if when folded outwardly, it could also double as a horizontal stand for watching the video downloads. It doesnt seem it would be difficult to incorporate that into the design. The loop for the D ring would be nice if attached to the removable sleeve for the device, rather than the entire wallet to improve options for portability. Rather than the extremely tight vertical zippered pocket, a “kiss lock” or magnetized gusseted pocket would be more useful and allow easier access to contents. I would also prefer the vertical closure to have been strongly magnetized–with either interior magnets or magnetic snaps– rather than velcro, but that’s because I know *eventually* all velcro wears out…thus lessening the lifespan of this item. However, the velcro gives it unmatched industrial strength when attached and there is *no way* it would fall off a strap or come undone unless it was intentionally separated.
Overall however, I am extremely pleased with this purchase. I am very picky and waited a while to find the “perfect” case. This one is the best I’ve found and I really love it.
As for the “reflective tape” mentioned in the description, mine does not seem to have this feature. I don’t mind; this is not a case I am using for actual nighttime “couriering”!
