I just got an iPod touch 1g from my friend and I know its a few years late but it was in good condition and worked fine and for the price it was good.
So I bought it and I struggled to find a good case for the 1g due to how long its been since the 1g came out but this case is a steal.
Excellent and for the money, what can go wrong?

If I buy a iPod touch updated generation in the future I shall be looking at Speck again and I highly recommend it. Comes with a holster, screen protector, and a hard shell case.
It takes a little fiddling to get the hardshell snaped onto the iPod but not to aggravating. Once it does fits like a clam shell.

VERY pleased with the fit of this product. Very close fitting and very sturdy. Will probably buy another in case I scratch it too much and have a hard time finding Gen 1 touch cases in the future.

I bought an iPod Touch when they came out, and was frustrated that there weren’t any protective cases or belt clips available at the time. Once cases started being released, I bought some, but returned them because they were junk — one of them was a silicone case with a belt clip, and snapping the case into the belt clip stretched the silicone almost to the breaking point. They were universally flimsy and clunky.
After seeing some of Speck’s nice cases for Macbooks, I looked up this case on Amazon, and it looked perfect. Well, it is. The protective shell is solid, but still thin enough to retain the sleek lines of the Touch. The belt clip is sturdy, easy to snap in and out with one hand, rotates 180 degrees, and the clip part snaps into a locked-open position so you can set the iPod on a surface to watch videos.
Every case should be like this.
